My Unoa Dream Finally Came True

Long before becoming a Pullip and Blythe enthusiast, I loved Asian Ball Jointed Dolls. But they are really pricy and I was able to get only three, one pinkish skin Serendipity Sharmin, one white skin Serendipity Sharmin, and one other whose name I forgot. My dream doll, however, was a Unoa Sist (I kinda think Sist’s non-droopy eyes more appealing). But really Unoas were way beyond my budget 15+ years ago. Then life happened, I got really busy, etc., etc. So, I paused my doll hobby altogether until the start of the pandemic when I rekindled my love for dolls. This time around I discovered how fun the Pullip and Blythe I mechs are. So I sold two of my BJDs and saved only the pinkish Sharmin’s body and a Unoa faceplate of matching resin color (plus a replacement head back), thinking that I would one day do her face up and keep the hybrid. Then one day, I stumbled upon a listing of a blank Unoa Sist on eBay. The rest is history! 😁 Now finally my Unoa dream has come true! ❤️ I gave her a face up and am so in love with her! 💗

Yeolume from School to Fun

[Adopted] In time I also fell in love with Yeolume, Pullip’s future daughter. Her face is so sweet! Even though her eyes can’t blink, they can look left and right, Her body is a lil too flimsy to me, so I rebodied her with an Azone Pure Neemo XS body. Then I removed her old face up and gave her a new face up. Also made her outfit. She is now back from school and enjoying some fun play time. The day she got adopted, it felt like I was marrying a daughter. So happy that she is going to a loving owner! 💕

[Adopted] This very special, beautiful full custom Pullip was my first ever commission for a very special friend whom I know in real life. She is an accomplished violinist, an acclaimed professional performer, a great teacher, a wonderful person, and a dear friend. This doll is made to be her “mini me.” She loves it! ❤️ 🥰 💕

My Lovely Licca dolls

In 2021 and 2022, I also got into Licca dolls. A lot of people think their arms and legs are not bendable. That’s not true. They don’t have those hinge joints. Instead, their limbs are soft plastic with wires inside. So you can bend them. Of course if you don’t like this type of bendable, you can always switch their body into an Obitsu 22 or 24. I’ve personally tried both, and both are awesome. Azone pure neemo S works well, too. I also tried YMY 22 and 24. The 22 looks very nice proportion-wise; however, the neck is a little too thin. Here are some of the Licca dolls I have. They are very cute! 🥰

Latter half of 2021 and 2022, I discovered Azone dolls. They have this anime look that is just so reminiscent of my childhood and teenage years. I just had to get a few. And there they are! 😍💕
