Beautiful Kitasin Pullip

July 2021, I finally adopted a custom Pullip from the wonderful artist Kitasin. Been admiring his work for a long time and feel so fortunate to own a doll by him! Below is a photo of the beautiful girl taken by Kitasin.

The reason I fell in love with this particular girl is that her face up looks so very much like my much younger self, although her original hair and eyes don’t. Kitasin is so kind that he is okay with me changing her wig and eyes—thank you so so much Kitasin! I have kept her original everything so she can still be back to her original design ❤️ I love her so much and bought her a lot more beautiful outfits 🥰 

I just can’t have enough of her! 🤩😻💕

The One and Only

Worth mentioning is my one and only Ruruko. Oh boy is she expensive! All Ruruko dolls are, for reasons I don’t know. I picked a least costly one and also one that I really like. I like her raven hair and purple eyes as well as her Obitsu 22cm body. However, I didn’t like her outfit. So I sold her outfit and got her some new pink girly outfits. She is so stunning 😍 

Our lookalike Momoko Dolls

It was somewhere late 2021 and early 2022 that I got into Momoko Dolls as well. The reason? I found my own lookalike and my daughter’s future lookalike in two Momoko dolls 😆 So I just had to get them 🥰💕

The dark tea colored hair girl with bangs is a Wake Up Momoko wearing a Less Than First Love Momoko’s outfit. The raven hair girl (I forgot her name) with the side bangs is wearing a Licca-Chan Very outfit set. Love them SO much! ❤️

A Wave of Factory Blythe Customs

As mentioned in a previous post, I’ve got myself too many factory Blythe dolls, thinking that I needed to practice while it turned out carving came pretty easily for me. So, below are the factory Blythe customs that have been adopted 🥰

1. Alice of the Blue Garden: This is a tall one with better proportions as I used a Barbie MTM curvy body. Handmade her outfits too.

2. Lovely Bear: Another full custom made with Barbie MTM Curvy body. Handmade outfits as well.

3. Little Sailor: This one uses an Azone type body. Also an open-mouth girl with front teeth shown.

First Attempts at Blythe Customization

Summer 2021, I decided to branch out further and give Blythe customization a try (involves extensive carving, remolding with air dry clay, airbrushing, face up, changing eyechips, and outfit making). Since I had no clue about whether I was going to be good at it and didn’t want to ruin a genuine doll, I decided to practice with factory Blythe first. The carving part looked especially scary for me. I thought I was going to suck big time at it and probably ruin a whole bunch. So I bought a lot of factory Blythe, and I mean A LOT. To my absolute surprise, carving came pretty easy for me 😮 So… I got stuck with a lot of factory Blythe dolls, which I could not resell all (even though I tried) but had to customize most of them (please don’t crucify me for this, I’ve just been stuck with them 😭) … Anyways below are the two very first dolls that I did. I kept them for the sake of remembering my first efforts.

Hello Again Juniemoon

I won a lottery, for the first time in my life!! Not the kind that someone gives me money, though. LOL. It was the Blythe doll “opportunity to buy” lottery, which enabled me to get Hello Again Juniemoon.” Now I have a raven hair, a brunette, a red head, and a blonde. I thought my mini collection would be complete for a long while. Would it be true? 😆 But now, let’s take a look at this cutie.

Unoa Face Up

[Adopted] Early 2021, I diverted from Pullip customization a little — found a unoa Sist faceplate in my “old stuff” closet and gave it a face up. This faceplate was adopted. I’m putting a picture up for record keeping ❤
